Eureka! I've found some relatives back in the Azores

When you are working with Genealogy, one of the most difficult tasks is finding and reading documents that are in a foreign language. I have been searching for records to find possible family, and also records from when my Great Grandfather came from the Azores. I joined a FaceBook group for Portuguese and Azores Genealogy, and lo and behold, someone was able to find my Great Great
Grandparents.

Believe it or not, they found the information on Ancestry.com, which is where I have been looking this entire time! Getting help with family trees is a valuable asset, and I recommend that you reach out however you can for help. There are many groups on social media that can help with research.

Coming Soon: Tips and Tricks on Genealogy research, and also detailed information on my own ancestors in case anyone else is looking for them.

Shaking my Tree and Genealogy have become an obsession.

Several weeks ago, I decided I wanted to know more about my ancestors and genealogy. I decided to start with Ancestry.com, and see where it took me. Being a person with a wide variety of ethnicities, some parts were easy, and some, not so much.

Learning about my heritage was the beginning. Now, I am hoping to connect with distance cousins and family members. It was so exciting for me when I was able to contact a cousin that I didn't know even existed!

Genealogy is a process, and it can be a long one. I have learned much since I first began, and I hope to learn even more. In addition, I hope to be able to help those who are struggling with where to start on their family tree research.

So, here we go!
